Walk Cycle

1. Describe your overall thoughts on the final piece.
Overall I am very pleased with the final result of this piece. I feel that it is smooth and simple but not to the point of being boring.
2. How successful do you feel this piece is and why?
I feel like it is very successful because there is little to no change in the horses body in the eight different images and the movement is not jerky. I also like the fact that I kept the theme simple by not coloring anything and keeping it in greyscale.
3. What worked about this project? What didn’t work?
I feel like the images all worked well together but I feel as if it might feel too simple if you watch it for too long.
4. If you were to do this project over again, what changes would you consider making?
If I were to do it again I would consider adding in color and more detail to the background especially and maybe one or two more elements passing by in the background to portray more movement.
5. What was the most difficult part about completing this piece and why?
The most difficult piece was making sure the the horse bodies stayed the same shape and size while tracing the main image. This was difficult because if they changed then the walk would not be as seamless as it could be.
6. What did you learn from this piece?
I learned the importance of keeping things seamless and how to spread things out so that they don't move too quickly and I was also reminded of how to make things move across the screen in Flash.

1. Describe your overall thoughts on the final piece.
Overall I am very pleased with this piece and the outcome of the five different images.
2. How successful do you feel this piece is and why?
I feel it is very successful because it follows the guidelines and the pictures all have a common theme of black and whit with an emphasis on one item in each of the five pictures.
3. What worked about this project? What didn’t work?
I think the black and white and images I chose worked well together. I would have liked to use a different font or a different work for the text.
4. If you were to do this project over again, what changes would you consider making?
I would use a different picture with a better quaility, and I would have scanned in a hand drawing instead of creating on on Flash.
5. What was the most difficult part about completing this piece and why?
The most difficult part was making sure the emphasis is clear on each of the five pieces and that it was not easy to mistake one emphasis for another. I made sure to exagerrate the emphasis on the main focus of the piece instead of trying to be subtle.
6. What did you learn from this piece?
I learned the importance of unity and emphasis to show how something goes together but one piece may be more important than another.
